When providing Estate Planning Services (Wills, Powers of Attorney, Personal Directives and Trusts) we take pride in creating a comfortable, confidential environment which will ensure that all of our clients’ day to day and complex issues can be considered.  Where appropriate, we include strategic planning of assets to optimize tax planning and avoid unnecessary administration down the road. Colleen is experienced at advising and establishing trusts in order to manage vulnerable family members, setting up plans to manage divergent interests between second spouses and children, protecting young people and incorporating tax planning options. Our discussions also include advice to clients on choosing appropriate executors, trustees, attorneys and agents to protect themselves and their children during their lifetime and throughout their legacy.

When providing Estate Litigation and Administration advice, we understand that in many cases, clients will be going through a difficult time navigating the death or vulnerability of a loved one and the competing interests of family and loved ones. She strives to provide appropriate and practical advice in an understanding atmosphere. Where necessary, we will work with our clients to navigate the court system and ensure that our clients’ interests are met in the most cost efficient and timely manner possible. 

When providing Estate Mediation services, we pride ourselves on setting the parties up for success. With over a decade of experience in estate litigation and having received mediation training from Harvard Law School, Colleen is able to provide specialized, unbiased advice on problem solving and assessing the strengths and weaknesses of each Party’s position. These matters are reviewed with the utmost of respect and confidentiality for the parties involved.
